The economy sucks, more jobs are leaving, energy is sky-rocketing,and we have less money to spend, purchase food or even keep what jobs we do have.
Do you believe our Government has a plan to bail us out of this mess?
I think we are all headed for something bigger then the Great depression, but no one wants to admit it and they have no solution to the problem.
What do you think?

I think it is very tragic how the government is bailing everyone out and I fear the universal health care that Obama has up his sleeve will cripple our economy! Look, there will be some people in the middle class that will fall to the poverty level due to economics. It is job of each of use to educate ourselves, make good economic choices for our families and get out of the middle class as quickly as possible. Is society is going to be without a middle class, I am checkout out now amd moving the rich class right now!

Thank you for responding, I agree and hope that I will survive what comes. You can have all the education one needs to get the job, but the job has to be there. I see many educated and not, headed for poverty. Our Country as we know it is changing and hopefully we are not going down the crapper.
Thanks again,
Karen

It is not possible for anything close to the great depression to happen again in this country. Our money in the bank is safe...that's what the FDIC is for...to bail out banks so they don't fail. Our unemployment rate is not rising at an alarming rate and has not reached record highs.
Yes, we're in for a rough ride for awhile but the government has the means to assist businesses and workers, the stock market is diversified with foreign markets so it's not going to crash unless all of the world's markets crash. There are programs to help people who have lost their jobs and have fallen on hard times, programs to help homeowners avoid losing their homes and there will be more assistance to come. What we really need to do is to encourage our elected representatives to support alternatives to oil so that our economy can get back on track towards being more self supporting.
