Has anyone out there just begun taking self defense lessons? Im going to start 'Krav maga'. A military hand-to-hand combat system. Im looking forward to it but would like to know others experiences with this or any other type of self defense

I've heard about it from my brother, i think it's an israeli fighting technique which aims to disable enemies with forceful blows and the usage holding on to limbs and separating them through kicks. I should ask him about it. he's on mylot too, message him, he's chipesterkhan

I find all these martial arts to be great trainers of discipline, confidence and self improvement. My favorite, of the ones I know is Aikido, I am not a confrontational person by nature, I much prefer the concept, of taking my "partner" by the hand, moving to see their point of view, then "sending" them down the path of least resistance, and the harder they try to hit me, the further they go, because you use their strength and add your own. Cheers.

I have been to a class its more simple moves, but I enjoyed it. I think for women a few good simple moves work the best.
