which is better internet explorer or firefox?

Internet Explorer can't beat Mozilla firefox. it has many advantages against internet explorer one is, Firefox features the all-too-familiar tabbed browsing feature. No more opening multiple browser windows, eating up your precious RAM and slowing down everything on your computer. While a more recent Explorer version can provide the same feature, Firefox pioneered the idea and there is a definite difference in feel when using tabs in Firefox as opposed to Explorer. Also a very important topic amongst those interested in browsers is that of security. Most studies show Firefox as marginally better in this field as well even though Internet Explorer had years of a head start. This has been partially associated with the way in which Explorer is tied into the operating system while Firefox is a completely independent application. Add-ons are a popular browser feature that enables enhancements to be made to browser by users. Well Firefox does anyway. Internet Explorer is notoriously hard to code add-ons for while Mozilla even provides help in doing so on their website. They welcome users who add functionality to the browser and a much wider range of applications are available, doing everything from music playing to game downloads. Finally, a feature of Firefox exists that is not really a part of the browser on a whole, but is rather a modified version made by users called Firefox Portable. This application allows you to take your browser, along with its history and bookmarks, with you everywhere on a USB Flash Drive.

Firefox is so much better then explorer. Its faster and everything about is just great

I believe Firefox to be the best browser so far. Plus, many others seem to think so too. The pop ups are not as much as it should be. I like it much better. My computer seems to run more smoother with Firefox.

i think opera is good cause it's growing now very fast and it's easy to use

Firefox is better than Internet Explorer. It is a lot lot safer than IE. The reason that many use IE generally is that some websites recommend that they use IE to view their webpages

hi mayank, several mylotters ask the same question and i also post similar responses i prefer firefox than ie, since firefox is much faster than ie. i just install firefox 3 and are using it now. sometime i also use opera browser.

I converted from internet explorer to firefox years ago in ye olde days of firefox 1. When Firefox 2 came out, I downloaded it straight away. Now I use Firefox 3. I'm never going back.

Firefox is the best it has so many amazing features, i love firefox and have been using it about 2 years now

I use firefox for security and extensibility reasons... IE also has it's merits though, but firefox is catching up if it hasn't exceeded it yet. A lot of websites 5-10 years ago are "Optimized for Internet Explorer". I seldom see that now, and I'm beginning to see sites tagged as "Optimized for Firefox".
