I rarely use Internet Explorer since I discovered Mozilla Firefox(which is great!:),I occasionally try to use it if I am taking a survey and it will only work in that browser so I noticed my IE7 had stopped working, would start up and then close again with some runtime error.
I suspected it was probably an update I had not run due to not using it much or one of the files attached to it had probably been corrupted.
I simply did a re-install of IE7 and it's worked fine since.
So uninstall IE, then go to the IE website and install the latest version. Hope that helps..:)

well i think even internet explorer wants you to switch to fire fox. my friend i will tell you that this is the time to switch to fire fox and once done, i know you will not face such problems. it is very stable and has a lot of features which will make you wow

I HATE IE. I use IE7 and it's been nothing but a pain in the butt since I upgraded from an older version. You want my honest opinion? Use some other browser. Right now I am working on Safari. I LOVE IT! It has a nice format, easy to use bookmarks and it doesn't mess up all the time like IE. The best part, you don't have to reformat anything to use it. Just go to the Apple site and download it for free.

Have you tried restarting your computer? An error message does not necessarily mean that you have to reformat your computer since many things can cause a runtime error. If restarting your computer doesn't do the trick try uninstalling and reinstalling IE.
