This morning after I found the cats' brush, I went over to where my Waffles cat was relaxing and began to brush her gently. She mewed, sort of, then relaxed and began to purr. She just loved it! I think that she remembered my brushing her when I first bought her home from the shelter nearly two years ago. She loved being brushed so much that she drooled a bit.
Brushing is supposed to benefit cats anyway, but I rarely have time to cater to mine like that.
Anyway, does your cat like to be brushed as well?

A few years ago we were given a pom/snowdog mix as a 6mo puppy. I tried and tried to brush her but she had never been brushed and I guess it felt funny so she wouldn't sit still. This is where the cat gets involved... She came up and wiggled between the pup and the brush and laid down. I had never brushed her before as she is a short hair and there was never any need. I started brushing the cat and she started to purr and gave the pup a look like don't you know this is so much fun. Soon the pup wanted to be brushed too.

I should get a brushfor my cat. I dont think I have one. I usually use a comb and I dont think he is too crazy about it.
He just tolerates it. If I hit a tangle I get kind of a bad reaction so I have to be very gentle.

My Jakie likes to brush, he will even turn around so you can get the other side.
Scoots, on the other hand will not allow you to brush her, she swats at each stroke.

Oh yes my 2 cats loved to be brushed. I brush them usually twice a day. It makes there fur so nice and fluffy. My cats love it.Most of the time they fall to sleep while I brush them.
