I think Peter Crouch will most definitely join Portsmouth having been linked to them sometime and them being given permission to talk to him today. Harry Redknapp has had contact with the player before at Southampton and I can see the little and large partnership of Jermaine Defoe and Peter Crouch being absolutely awesome. Portsmouth look to be going from strength to strength! What do you think?

Crouch was awesome at Southampton under Redknapp. Redknapp got wonders out of players like tubby Sinclair, so I can see this partnership really kicking off. We'll see who is right at the end of the season (if the deal goes through that is)..

I think he will join Portsmouth. Crouch is England Striker and he is not a regular player at Liverpool. Without a regular position at 1st team, it is hard for Crouch to be selected in England 1st 11 squad. By moving to Pompey, he have more oppurtinity to become 1st choice frontman and gaining more chances to be in England's 1st 11. It is for his own good and football future.

You know though Crouch did not play very often last season, he still scored 11 goals. That was quite efficient. For a tall player, he doesn't not need to sprint with the ball or do tricks. He can created chances for his teammates by heading the long ball coming from the backline. And he's the one who can take the chance in the box. In Portsmouth, with his ex-teammate Milan Baros, Crouch will surely show his value.

Peter Crouch's transfer to Portsmouth would really be very promising and interesting to watch. Harry Redknapp will surely fine-tune the lad's weaknesses and make him a true world-class goalkeeper. He won't feel as a newbie as he's already worked under him while at Southampton. With both player and manager having gained experience, I am sure, they'll surely match the leaders in play. Looking forward to a very good season for Portsmouth.
