Did you turn off your flat iron before you left home?

My husband always kid me about it but I just can't help it. There are a times when we are already out of the driveway and I start screaming stop, stop, did I turn-out the flat iron, or did I unplug the coffee maker? I know it sounds crazy but I can help it. Do you ever have that feeling that you forgot something and you just have to run back to the house and check on things? LOL

yeah, it happens to me sometimes. but sometime i act with too much self confidence, leaving home proudly, only to find that i leave my cellphone, my office key, or even my bag. that is not the worst. sometime i leave a public place (library, supermarket, or book store) and leave my bag there

I know that feeling. I often leave home confident that I have all the thing that I need with me. There was this one time a few years back. I was supposed to make a presentation and saved my stuff in my flash drive. I did not bring my laptop with me confident that I won't need it during the trip. Turns out that I put my flash drive inside the computer bag at home. That was really stupid!

I do that all the time and 99.9% of the time I have unplugged or turned the things off but I have to check or I will obsess with it. My hubby is used to me running back in at the last minute as we are pulling out of the garage so he just puts up with it. I am sure if it was left on it would be fine, most have an automatic shutoff or if you are like me I put it in the sink where it wouldn't catch on fire.

Hahha! And I thought I was the only one who obssessed! I remember one time when we were about to board a ferry and I suddenly thought oh my God! I think I forgot to turn off the taps! My husband went crazy! He didn't know what to do with me. Turns out I did turn it off.

Have experienced once but not in the house but in a car. I forgot the keys inside the car and I did closed the door already. So need to get home to get the duplicate key. From there on, I learned from my mistake, before closing the door, make it sure that I have the key in mine.

I actually have done that once too. I was late for a meeting and on my way out, I just simply forgot to remove the car keys from the ignition. Good thing the parking lot was secure or my car would have gone "bye-bye".

I am terrible with this. Mine is simply did I like the door or not. I can not be the last one out of the house or I will obsess over whether it is really locked or not. Crazy, I know. I don't have a problem with windows, things being left on, but doors always get me.

Now that is really uncomfortable. I wouldn't want to be the last to leave the house if I were in your place too. I can't afford to run back to the house and check the door all the time. LOL

hi, alindahaw! i do think this kind of things happens to every lady, especially after they have children. i am not the exception. but after a few times, i began to form the habit to write the things on a small paper. such as, before i go shopping, i will write down what i have to buy today. also in the office, i will write down what i have to finish today, etc.

Yeah, writing down the things that need to be done is a good way to go. I have a list of the things I need to do for the day on my organizer. Having my notes handy keeps me sane. LOL Anyway, I think we all get distracted every now and then.

All the time and it is usually when my taxi comes to pick me up that I always get this feeling. It is at that point that I am checking my pockets for my keys and trying to remember if I turned off everything .The irony of it is that I have left my iron on for several times .Usually it is when I forget to iron on a sunday and I am doing a quick ironing in the morning and everything gets messed up

Aha! So you were the one who left the flat iron on! LOL Anyway, these things do happen especially when you are distracted. Just make sure that you double check everything next time before you head for the door. :)

Yes I do have that feeling of leaving something at home or leaving something unattended at home.Suddenly I feel like leaving all the fans and air conditioners on or leaving the television running. Most of the time it is the fan I really forget to switch off as I leave my home.I make it a point nowadays to double check anyway.

It seldom happen to me. I use to check carefully before going out. But sometime when I'm in a hurry I may forget something or rush back to check on it.
