Morning person or night owl?

I am a night owl! I hate getting up early. I stay up late and sleep late. I think I have grown accustom to this from working the night shift for so many years. What do you do ? Get up early and be all chipper or stay up all night? What do you do all night?

I am a night owl as well. I have always been like this, every job I've had I would ask for the night shift and always got it because most people prefer to work days. I just can not seem to function in the mornings. I have always been curious if it has anything to do with the time of our birth, I was born at 1:07 AM, do you know what time you were born?

I have never been a morning person. I had a first shift job only once in my life... Only lasted 3 months and I was late a lot. I think the movies get better on TV at night. Seems like everything worth watching is on late. Then there are nights like these that I'm in the mood to Mylot.

I normally get up at 6am and retires at 10pm. I have been accustom to this since I have to prepare my kids to school and help them do their homework at night.
btw, I have read somewhere else's post that staying late and waking up late is bad for your liver. This happened to him and one of the reason why he has liver problem. Do some research and maybe it could help you change a little.

I have always been a night owl. I have more energy and feel more "alive" at night. I am more productive in the evening too. I don't know why but that is how I have always been ever since I can rembember. It is nice and quiet at night because the kids are all in bed.

i am truly a night owl, it seems that all day long thereis things I must do or people coming in and out, so when night comes hubby goes to bed, there is just me alone and I have this time to myself, to do what I want to do. I have never been one to sleep much, for one thing I can't find a place in the bed that is comfortable, so I toss and turn and this counting sheep into the 1000's don't cut it, I would rather be up doing something than laying there, it drives me crazy. Even when I had to be up at say 6a to get ready to go to work I never went to bed before one am. Sometimes I dont' go to bed till the sun comes up, I am 61 and I figure I will do what makes me happy for a change now. But I am not a person for sleep so mark me as a night owl.

I am actually both. I work 2nd shift and so get home pretty late. I find it impossible to go right to bed so I am up till at least 2am. I also hate sleeping in and during the school year can not as I have to get my daughter off to school so I am generally up between 6:30 and 7:30. I could sleep in I suppose but I don't very often. If I sleep past 8, I feel I wasted so much of my day. Some mornings it is a bit tough to get going but i just drink a lot of coffee and jump in the shower and I'm good to go.

I am a night owl too! I also got accustomed to this habit when I was in school. I would stay up late to study or cram for my exams the next day. The other reason for this is that I really love nighttime. I mean, it's quiet, very relaxing and cool. I could really think and concentrate on the task at hand. During the day, you can hear all the cars and drills of the construction nearby, the trucks, the honking and aside from that it's hot during the day. ~

I go in circles. For one period of time I am up all night others I am up early. Working the graveyard as you well know changes your body clock and takes its toll. Ever since I have worked graveyard I have never been the same. Seems like I cant get my body clock set right again. Happy days and nights. :)

I'm a morning person but I usually can function at night pretty well if I have to. But usually when the sun downs down I'm not to far behind. Wouldn't mind being asleep right not to tell the truth. My husband on the other hand drove a cab for many years at night and will often wake up during the middle of the night and not be able to fall back asleep, if he falls asleep at all cause sometimes he will get insomnia now that he is working during the day.

I am a little bit of both. My brain does turn sharp after the sun sets. But there are days when I feel so sleepy that I go to bed early and wake up early.
Cheers and happy mylotting

I am a night owl. I get my energy once all the kids are in bed. I won't go to sleep until around midnight, 1am. Then I am quite cranky in the morning.
Most nights I will just play on the computer, watch movies, or just sit up and chat with hubby.

Hi
I like to work in night but can not wake up early. Even if I go to bed and sleep early I could not wake up in early morning. I have always been a night owl. I can stay up to 2 or 3 a.m but can not be active in the early morning. I think my body is programmed like that and the genes determines whether a person is a morning person or a night owl.

i love sleeping in, but i dont really like sleeping late either
i value my sleep, maybe because i have too little of it.
maybe when i have the choice of having more sleep i will choose to sleep in and sleep late.
but that is when i have internet at home.
if i do not have internet, than i will not be using the computer at night, and be so bored that i will just sleep.
