Sometimes the glare of the screen can hurt your eyes. Also, if I quickly want to hop down to the kitchen, it would be faster reading a physical book.

I haven't ever read an eBook, but I really want to try it. I think it would probably be a little bit faster, but I'm afraid that I would skip a lot of the book. It seems like I'm more likely to just daze out when I'm on the computer than I would be if I were reading an actual book.

Recently, I am much into reading virtual books. Its kinda fun and different. But since I do not have an eBook, its bit hazardous to read it on my laptop. I have to stay up and after a time my eyes start to get red. I think, Audio books are better than reading directly from the computer unless you are having an eBook which I guess is easier.
I am listening to one audio book. It's quite fun actually.
Thanks.

I prefer to read a physical book, rather than ebooks. I enjoy lazing on the sofa or bed, reading till I fall asleep, something I can't do with a PC or a notebook.

I've had to read many e-books for college courses where professors were kind enough to make them available online (as opposed to over a hundred dollars at the book store). Anyone who has had to work at a computer for any lengthy amount of time knows that it can be pretty rough on your eyes, particularly if the lighting in the room is poor.
In addition to your eyes potentially being irritated, most people I know don't have laptops, and those who do aren't willing to carry them around everywhere they travel. A book, on the other hand, can go anywhere. If you have limited free time to read, you probably don't want to be limited to being held to reading only on your computer.
I prefer a hard copy, but in certain cases, the e-book can make things much easier. You can't run a text search on a hard copy.
It's a trade off. It comes down to whichever you feel most comfortable about. For some, that's going to be e-books. For others, it's going to be hard copies. Some won't care either way.
