how to beat distractions?

i hope to finish a english book this summer holiday,but it seems impossible for me.
1. there are too many difficult words;
2. i can't remember all the names of foreign characters and places.
3. the book is too long.
4. i feel sleepy after a few pages.
my god,is there still hope for me?

wherever there is a will, there is a way.
i think the first to do is thinking about weather the aim you set is resonable.
there are too difficult words means that you haven't reach the level.
maybe you should choose anther book which you can get knowledge and happiness when you read it.
so i think it is not your problem but your aim.
