Favourite Sport? Does It Depend On What Country You Live In?

I live in England. As a nation, we are obsessed with football (soccer). We don't seem too bothered by much else. What is it like where you live? Is it wrong to assume the Australians are obsessed with Rugby? The Americans with baseball?
Just wondering!!!

No you are right. I'm from New Zealand, everyone here is obsessed mainly with Rugby, cricket and netball. I just got back from Australia and I know that they also are obsessed with Rugby and Cricket however only if they are winning. If they're not they don't want to know about it.

It seems like people in england only get excited about a sport when we are good at it!!! Take cricket. Not particularly popular, then we won the ashes and all of a sudden, its the best thing ever. We are a fickle nation!!!
