Age, piercings, & tattoos.

Okay, I'm curious, is body piercings and tattoos just for the "young folks" or can us "older" people get them too? I'm 30 and am working on getting a flat tummy so I can get my belly button pierced. I have been wanting to get it done since I was 18 and have put it off for a long time. Now I feel like I'm too old for it. What do you think? Does age matter?

Age with me didn't make a difference. 1 am 53 and have just had my first (maybe my last, not sure) tattoo!

No... I think it has more to do with what you want to do with your life. I'm lucky to have jobs where I can get away with having my nose pierced. Belly buttons are easy to conceal... But when it comes to your face... I don't think you can do it and expect to hold down a personal job. I have a friend with her neck peirced and she complains she can't find a job. Most professionals see that and think "FREAK!"... it's even a little too weird for me.

your only as old as your soul :)..i am 34 got my ears pierced only ..two tattoos and getting a 3rd..want to get pierce my belly button

Age is just a matter of time where as everything remains the same so go on Baby get the piercings and tatoos i love it, I have lots of tatoos on mu body but no piercings yet hope to try soon

I'm 31 and I have multiple tats and piercings, of course it is ok(to me), but some people and even some societies are not so open minded in the world.

I think 30 is just fine. Express yourself. While I don't have any peircings right now, I love seeing them on others as expressions of themselves. Go for it!
