kolaches ~ So far no one is talking about what I know as kolaches. How we know that is fruit filled with frosting on top. My Mother was Bohemian and that was one of her favorite Bohemian foods.

Oh yummy. A fruit filled kolache sounds a lot like a turnover.
They only make them with meat and cheese down here in Austin.

I love kolaches, my fav is the aprocit. I wish I knew how to make them.. My grandmother used to make them all the time, and that is ine thing I did not have her show me how to make.. = (

I love kolaches! I have never made them myself but I stop at Jack & Jills Donuts every morning and get 2 jalapeno and cheese kolaches for breakfast.

I have never heard of kolaches before but after reading this I'm getting hungry! Why don't you post the recipe on here? Maybe I'll make some during our next bad storm (we have been havig a lot of those lately).
Then I will have to teach my son to make them if they taste as good as they sound, he's a much beter baker than I am :)
