I'm from Iowa. Most of us here call it pop. So it was funny when my boyfriend moved here from Virginia and asked me to get him a soda. [They call it soda where he's from] I was like "Sure, I'll get you some pop." And his face was hilarious! He was like "Huh? No, I want a soda." I just laughed and when I came home gave him a Pepsi.

Hi aishaladon, I am from Malaysia, a tropical country in South East Asia. As most of the time the weather here is quite warm so we, people here like to take all these iced aerated drinks like coca cola, 7-up, pepsi cola etc all the time. We usually call these aerated drinks as soft drinks. Kids here like to call them qishui. In our language qi means air whereas shui means water. So qishui means water with air bubbles and kids are very fond of taking these iced air bubble water.
