With the Nightlife expansion pack, the Sims can have chemistry with each other (demonstrated by lightning bolts in their pictures). When I am trying to put together sims couples for purposes of romance and marriage, I find that I try to put them together with Sims that they are attracted to rather than just forcing them on each other. Does anybody else do this? Or do you just keep having them get together until they finally win each other over?

I definitely tend to go for attraction, even over looks if it's a powerful one (two or three bolts, say). It's just so much easier to build up their relationships, and so quickly, too.

I mostly go for looks in mine *innocent smile* If my pretty sim likes another pretty sim, I'll get them together. But if my pretty sim dislikes another pretty sim, I force them to like them anyway. Sometimes I change the aspiration or turnons to make them like eachother more. But mostly I'm too lazy
Guilty as charged?

I love the whole chemistry idea. It's so brilliant. I always try to match them up based on their likes. It's easier that way, by far. But sometimes it's fun to match up total opposites and play 'soap opera', lol. But if you are taking a much more serious approach, then yeah place to two with the same attraction together.

I do the same thing. I try and make sure that all my Sims at least have at least 2 lighting bolts when they are on a date. If they are not having the same feelings then I try and find them someone they like. If I don't like the Sim then I match them up someone, that they do not like at all. Sometimes I already have a Sim that I want to marry and they end up not liking them!! Some of my Sims are just silly! (:
