How did you meet one of your best friends?

One of my best friends didn't start out to be a friend or someone that I had wanted to hang out with at first. I was about 12 or 13, and had my bike stolen from our local park. A few of my friends saw who took the bike and followed her to her house. I got my mom and we went to her home to confront her and her parents. She did apologize and shortly afterwards, we started to hang out and we are still friends to this very day.

One of my bestfriends is someone I least expected to become my bestfriend. I am too stupid for her because she's very religious but my faith is very complicating because I have several questions about Islam, Christianity etc. I don't attend litturgies and she's always participating into religious services. But we're together in numerous activities. We criticize each other worst, but I appreciate whatever I would hear from her because I will know what things I have to change in me.

I have a few good friends that I did not set out to be friends with, in fact I did not even like them lol! One of them was in elementary school, and I've lost touch with her since we parted ways and went to different high schools. I think she and I got into it on the playground about something and as a punishment, we were forced to be together. I probably complained about it to my mom and because moms do 'mean' things like make kids spend time together when they don't like each other, that may have been how we became friends. Another good friend of mine that became a good friend was the friend of my best friend from high school. I did not like her initially because of course when I was 15 (or however old I was), I felt like she was trying to steal MY friend. My current best friend I met via a local moms group that I belong to. I wish that I had met her earlier because her daughter is 3 months younger than my daughter and we could have enjoyed being pregnant together. She didn't know anybody and neither did I, she had just moved to this area from another area instate, and I had moved from another state.

I met my bestfriend when we were still in the 5th grade. We started hanging out and more than 20 years later, we are still the best of friends. We are both married now with children but every now and then, we still see each other. No, we don't really hang out as much as we used to but we find time to talk every now and then.

Most of my best friends have been my friends since grade school. Throughout the years we have stood by each other through thick and thin. My other best friend is a distant cousin of mine whom I grew up with. It really helps that you have best friends from different "areas" of your life. To this date I still see 2 of my best friends from elementary. One is already residing in the US. I miss her so much.

I met one of my very good friends during a period of time that I was in a relationship that has since ended. This person is that gentleman's cousin, and I met her through him. I not longer have any contact with him, but she and I have continued to keep in touch.

The person that I would call my best friend above all of my other friends is a girl that I met during the first week of summer school between ending Primary and starting Secondary. We had both been recommended to go to this drama summer school by our seperate primary schools and then got put in a group together then and became friends. We were in separate tutor groups once we started school, but for many lessons we were joined in the same class, so we saw a lot of each other and became really good friends.

That's an interesting story. Well I met one of my best friends at college when we worked as student assistants. He referred me to be one and I'm thankful for that. He is in Japan now studying and he'll be returning this year.

The best?To be honest,i don't have the best friend,i only have a better friend.Maybe i am young now,i have many friends. And they are much better for me,i am not sure which is the best friend.I found they had kept in touch with me.When i was in trouble, they would do their best to help me.Maybe we are young in the society,we don't have the conflict of value,so we can make good friends with each other.Which is the best friend is an unsure answer to me.If you want to know,i would tell you in the ripe time.

When I was four or five, one of my neighbors introduced me to the girl that lived next door to her. (that was one house too far on my "how far will mom let me go" list) I am now almost 31 and she is still one of my best friends.

That is an excellent story :D. I met my best friend one day at lunch in 7th grade. She sat across from me in the cafeteria; I took a big swig of milk then someone made me laugh, and I ended up spitting it out on her. It wasn't a very positive first impression, but she began talking to me. Eventually we both recovered from the horror of the experience, and we are still friends.

Besides my sister and mom, my boyfriend/husband is my best friend. We both have Multiple Sclerosis. We met in a online support group. Yahoo has the greatest support groups. I knew Bruce for 5 years before meeting him in person. We have been together for almost 5 years now. In all, we have been together for 10 years. I tell him everything and he, the same. I don't think I have ever had a best friend like that before him.
