Competitions, raffle tickets etc. etc.

It can be fun entering competitions or buying a raffle ticket and with a small amount of wishful thinking feel you may one day win something! Maybe it's that little voice inside my head (there are times I wish it would leave me alone!) lol that says "why bother buying these things as you know you'll never win anything" Apart from supporting a worthy cause in purchasing a ticket or just to enter a comp. is there anyone out there that has actually one anything? Do share as would like to know someone is!

Well I used to think like you too until a friends neighbour won a caravan after she bought a ticket at a shopping centre, mind you she doesn't drive a car so she ended up doing a deal with the company and got cash money instead, a little less than the caravan was worth, so yes I guess some raffles are ok but some are rigged I think...

I had the thought of some being rigged as I never one anything lol but nice to hear of your neighbour winning a caravan. I entered the one recently to win a van decked out and was close to crying when I saw it was not my name on the screen last weekend. (Not really!) Kind of expected it.

I have had a few small wins sweety but nothing big! My son has won a mobile phone , and quite a good one at that through a competition by the local library service! I just like to think that if i don't enter or buy a ticket then I will never win but if I try you never know your luck! xxx

I won a microwave oven in an online competition a few months ago - and a year ago I won a gorgeous Bendon lingerie set from the same place. It's an Australian magazine called Notebook, which has lots of those competitions where you have to tell in 25 words or less why you'd like something - and seeing as I've won twice, those must be pretty good odds!
