We haven't altered our lifestyle as a result of the climbing gas prices. It's been a very long time since we've taken a trip by car anywhere. We prefer to stay close to home especially since we have animals that need to be let out daily. We both work close to home and when we eat out, it's always locally. Our kids live close by so we don't have far to go if we are going to their homes.

We havent been eating out as much. Most of the extra money is going into the tank. I like to travel also, and we havent
gone on any trips recently. Gas is really super expensive and it's probably only going to get worse unfortuately.

Now I walk from our subdivision's gate to my home. Before I use to ride a tricycle to go home but since prices are up I can't afford to spend another PhP15.00 for a trip. Also I ride the buses that are not air conditioned because they're cheaper. One funny thing I did was this one http://marvelous-magic.blogspot.com/2008/07/paying-my-transport-fare.html

I don't have a car but it affects me in the way that it affects the prices of fare we have. Before the fare in a jeepney was 4 pesos, then 5 pesos. I didn't know there was a student discount back then then suddenly it became to what it is right now, 8 and 6.50 for us students. What I do now is that I make it sure to wake up early to avoid using the jeepney or the taxi to go into school. Since my school is just a 15 minute walk from my house I make it a point to use that. In turn I have lots of money to buy rice, with the current price or ice cream which I find more satisfying than to ride a jeepney when I could have just walked.
BTW, I just noticed last night that the oil prices are now reaching the 60pesos mark! waaaa!
