The Blue Panet

Naturally shown on the discovery channel recently was a documentary called The Blue Planet, where researches ventured to the ocean bottom.
Despite the stunning species they were able to find, they only discovered under 1% of the ocean bottom. Studies showed if more are able to research the bottom, perhaps we will be able to discover the answer to medicine mysteries, cures, and many more.
If possible, would you consider exploring the ocean deep? What all would you wish to find?

Yes, I agree that if we can cover more of our oceans, we could find a lot of amazing discoveries. I'm not sure about fundings for marine research, but if developed countries can spend a lot on space exploration, they should do the same on marine exploration too. I'm not saying space research is a waste of money & time, but since vast amounts of water are still left unexplored I don't see why can't they do more on the ocean floor, especially since they're much closer than the moon.
