What do you think about the cheaper Iphone release?

Its ironice because Steve Jobs made a huge deal and announcement that the iphone will now only cost $299 so everyone can affored it. The catch is instead of paying 60 dollars per month for the services, you have to pay 70. Did apple really think they could fool us?
