Lately I have been seeing more and more new actors in Hollywood. New singers, rappers, actors, everything! These people are just normal people, like you and me, who somehow become celebrities overnight. No offense, but half of these children of Hollywood are not talented at all. Personally, I dont want to have to go to a movie and see bad actors, thats a $8 ill never see again. And anyways, who is giving all these people all these acting jobs; are they that desprate? If there's going to be 100 new actors everyday, I would like them to atleast be talented. Ellen Page for example (the actress from the movie Juno) is such a good actress. She has been in several movies in the last year and people love her. Why? Because she is a good actress. Should everyone have a chance for acting just because they want the big bucks or should we leave it up to the professionals?

that's so true! people earn millions of dollars nowadays for doing nothing. Paris Hilton for example just walks around Hollywood or New York or Los Angeles and will get photographed for doing nothing and how is she famous? The infamous s-e-x tape she made with that creepy old guy and the fact that she's the heir to the Hilton hotel. she is rich because people make her rich. id rather waste my time talking about someone smart like Ellen Page and not Paris Hilton.

maybe if you know someone in the entertainment world then you can penetrate it. if you dont know anybody i dont think that it is easy to get in. people knows people thats why they can be popular or given a chance to be a celebrity. and you also need to prove it once you get in, you need to make sure you are worth it. being celebrity means you need to bear it all even your personal life. so you not need to be just talented you need to be strong as well.

You asked "Can Anyone Become A Celebrity?" And my answer is NO. And although this is only my personal opinion here, I do have to tell you that in Hollywood, it's strickly Business & it's really the "BIG WIGS" who are always behind every movie that's made for they are the real one's who pick and choose who's going to make it & who's Not. That's just the way it is in Hollywood, so it seems. They are in fact the one's who will always make these decisions. Back in the the 1950's, the 1960's & the 1970's people would choose actors, actresses, bands, or muscians based primarily on that persons actual talent, and with AM Radio that soon came into play you did Not have to be very good looking person in order to make it. But nowadays, since the 1980's through today, your picked primaryily on your personal LOOKS first, and talent comes second. Back in the 1970's it's was ok if you were Not very attractive, or if you were even slightly overweight, but you really won't find too many well know stars today that are Not skinny, musuclar, or good looking & for those very few who do make it in showbiz, they don't usually last too long in Hollywood. Just look at Rosanne Barr, Rosie O'Donald, that Big guy who won American Idol or Aretha Franklin, just to mname a few... Yes they were all lucky to have made it, but after everything was all said & done, they all have seemed to disappear almost completely within a year or two. But if you take Beautiful, skinny, good looking people in the Entertainment industry who are Still out there it's they who are the real one's who actually make it to the top & stay there for a very long time. Some of these people are - Madonna, Sting (who's Still very much around...) Justin Timberlake, Mel Gibson, Jon Bon Jovi, among many others. I think you can see exactly where I'm going with this, I certainly do hope so. Even Sharon Osborne (Ozzy Osbornes wife...) has discussed this issue at hand in public on several occasions many times before on well known talk shows. And with that said, thankyou for asking this question. Enough said. :)
