I totally agree that things have changed in that respect. I have never been married and my reason has always been because I could not see forever with anyone that I was in a relationship with. For me I always wanted to marry one time, and for it to be for a lifetime. But so many people get married for reasons other than love and wanting to spend the rest of there lives in partnership with someone. I know several people that actually get married with the outlook that if things don't work, its easy enough to reverse.

Maybe it's the fast pace in life and life is harder now then before. It's easy to say I love you not like as before you mean it. Promises are easily to belive and broken not like as before when you say something you will full fill it, and one thing more maybe they forget there vows in front of God. They lack faith and easily to argue and fight small things and they make it big fuzz!

hi sprmm no the vows are beautiful and if you mean them as you say them you will live by them. I think marriage is much the same its just that so many people think they are better off living together and I think thats a bunch of hooey myself. I married the man I loved and we worked together and loved and liked each other and had our problems and our good times, and it was a good marriage. I am now a widow but was married for 34 years. congrats, and hope you will be very happy too.
