I have been traveling for about 21 years now and during that time have been to 51 different countries. Some of these have been on my own and these days I travel with my baby son. I have stayed safe in the vast majority places that I have been to. I had a nasty accident falling down a drain in Malaysia and doing that I really hurt my leg. It is sensible to have a map of a city that you visit and stay away from some areas after dark. It is better not to wander along deserted beaches alone. If you act like that when you travel you are likely to stay safe. It is wise to wear a money belt and to take out travel insurance. I have met some very friendly and genuine local people and some kind foreign travelers. First hand travel experiences will always mean more than television images. Good luck if you do go traveling outside your home country.

I have travelled to many countries around the world. Each country is unique in it's own way, culturally, geographically, historically. I am sure you will have a chance one day to travel and see those places.
Have a nice day !

My In-laws just yelled at my husband and myself because we travel outside of the country and we do fun things like roller coasters also. Why I asked her ? and she said because I will be 60 soon and my husband will be 62. Well I said to her, what are we supposed to do, sit in our rocking chairs waiting to die? Accidents can happen anywhere, anytime and your home is statistically the most dangerous place on earth. I firmly believe that when it is your time, it is your time. Me, I am going to have as much fun as I possibly can and in good health to do it.
Yesterday we went on the tallest and fastest roller coaster on earth, and it was great. Life is too short, go and have some fun, learn new things, see new places.

Don't despair. I'm sure you will get the chance to visit outside your country, maybe on a business trip or something. There's always travel tour that you can rely on.
If you know the overseas places better after you travel, you may want to go back there and visit more on your own. hehe
That's the fun of travelling, exploring more and more each time you go.
