because there is a lot of salt,so it'salty ..
it'a easy thing to understand ,
what really confuses me is why you ask such a easy and obvious question

long long ago ,the water is not salty.with the water erode the rock and hard soil ,salt in the rock and soil comes out .
You know there is salt in the mantle .

It was my mistake--I accidently spilled some salt on Gods countertop and swept it off and it drifted off into the alantic ocean and I had to throw some salt over my shoulder (for good luck) and it went into the pacific ocean.
LOL. I have no idea, it's a good question though.
