How many languages can you speak, read and write?

I am very fond of learning different languages. Still, I am able to only read and write a few languages, like English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujrati, Sanskrit, Arabic and Urdu. How many are you familiar with? I would love to learn french and japanese, but I am not that lucky enough to get an opportunity to do so. Its real great fun knowing so many languages. How about you. You may not have problems going to a new place if you understand their language, but if you don't then you may really fall into problem. isn't it?
