bible based movies - which is the best?

i haVE A seen a lot of movies based on bible stories in various languages, but the only movie that has touched me and made me sit spellbound for the full time so far is BENHUR, amazing and thinking that it was made so many years back when technology nor other facilities were limited compared to tody's its just brilliant

To be honest, my favourite Bible based movie is "Jonah" by Veggie Tales. The music is great and the message is clear even to my three-year-old. The lines are funny enough to appeal to adults, but the animation holds little children in thrall.

I like Benhur too! But the Passion of the Christ gave so much impact to me, most specially the scourging of the pillar scene. while watching that scene i just want to break down and cry. That was a very tragic and horrible event Jesus encountered in His life.

i think i love the animated movie of Moses, by Walt disney... and if it was based on the bible, the Passion of the Christ is really wonderful too.
