Replying to all the responses in my discussions

I have always made it a point to reply to all the responses in my discussions. Some mylotters continue the string of conversation for a long time. One day I spent the whole time just responding to all the responses - and there were more than 80 that I had to reply to - and then put in responses for a few new discussions started by my friends. That day I found my earning had gone to more than a dollar. The highest I was paid till date. So I have realised that acknowledging everyones responses not only made the other mylotters happy but at the end of it I was rewarded too. So I think its wrong of us to think that we are not paid for putting responses to those who reply to our discussions.

I think it is due to a chain reaction and not only because you replied to all your replies. I think when you post a topic then someone replies you earn a little. Then when you reply to one and they reply back it starts a conversation and you earn for the conversation. The ones you reply to that don't reply back I think you don't earn anything extra for that. Just my thoughts. I know that I have earned ever a dollar on days that I got conversations started under my replies whether I started the topic or not. On days I just reply and don't get conversations started I earn less it seems. I do try to respond to all my replies mainly because when I reply to a topic it is a nice feeling to be acknowledged and I want people that respond to me to have that feeling as well.

I think I've noticed that too. I've noticed on days when my friends come back repeatedly and post again and again to keep the discussion going, earnings are better. But overall, it's just fun. So it doesn't feel like work. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I had wondered about how that worked!

Hi to both of you, I would always enjoy when the conversations would continue back and forth and the string on converstion continued. And being paid for that was an added bonus.

I also enjoy the conversations as they prgress. It is a lot more fun to keep a conversation going especially if it is a topic that everyone is passionate about. It gets very interesting although sometimes very heated. I enjoy my time here so much and being paid for having fun is a bonus.

I think in myLot take some multi-tasking. I try to do all, I respond in my friends discussions, I answer to everyone that took the time to answer my discussions, I rate people, I check messages and answer to them, I see the unresolved and keep just 2 pages of if, that brings my money way up! But for the responses itself I see many myLoters making fun of thank you and all that, but I always take the time to respond to someone that took their time to answer my bla bla! Thank you!

I know many do not like the Thank you response, but if I do not have anything to reply and want to acknowledge the person who has responded I make it a point to say thanks to the person.

i do try my utmost best to respond to responses to my discussions. i feel happy when fellow mylotters acknowledge my response. even if they only responded with a 'thank you for posting', it makes my day. so i feel that i should reciprocate by responding to responses. the earnings is definitely a plus point for me though. i'm liking this site more and more every minute.

Sometimes I get too many responses to add a comment to them all. But I do comment on a lot of them though. And a trick I learned is to try and leave one response alone so when the discussion gets old and there's not many responses you bring it to the top of your list by adding a comment at that time. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I thought only I was using this trick. Yes I have done it sometimes for my discussions as well as discussions of my friends and found it getting more responses again. Thanks a lot for your reply and pls read my comments on this discussion for you where you had added something. I have written something for you there too which I dont want to repeat again. I think it is just two responses ahead of this.

mayka123, it is nice to be acknowledged; makes being here so much more worth while. The true value of posting is found in friendships.

I don't see why mylot won't count responses to responses as contribution or participation. After all, it takes time and effort to go through responses for your thread. It's good to know that they really do pay as you have reported. This will definitely encourage other members to post good responses as well as responses to those responses. Thanks for sharing!

I think mylot does consider this as a contribution as well except the one liners and one word replies. At least that is my opinion. Thanks for your reply.

It's nice you were rewarded for being polite to the people who had responded to you, mayka. I always think if someone took the trouble to respond to my discussions, I owe them an acknowledgement. Good for you!

For me these discussions are like having a conversation with a friend. Since we cannot see each other this is the only way I can acknowledge to that friend that I have read their message.

I agree! I've loved mylot.com since I started. I've made over a dollar a few times and have been so excited about it too. I have a entire month off of school upcoming up soon, so I hope to make a lot of money during that time posting on here. If you want to make even more, upload pictures to your interests that don't have a lot of photos already there. You get a good amount from that too. I've gotten really close to $2 in one day and my goal is to make $3 in one day when my online class is over. Thanks for the good discussion.

Yes I know we get paid nicely for uploading photos and I want to start on that too soon. It will be great if I get $3 in a day. Thanks a lot for your reply.

I think the system says that we are paid for posting our responses. So if someone posts a response to our discussion and we reply them back then I dont think its wrong.

Yes, you are right, if you are going to post some meaningful and quality comments, you are definitely rewarded for that, may be not to that extent, as you are rewarded for your responses. So great of you that you post your comments on each and every response you receive, this is a very positive trait and it helps/encourages the respondent(s) to come again to your interesting discussions. I also try my best to post my comments, but sometimes, I skip few responses for my comments, due to one reason or another.

I post responses for all the notifications that I receive. But for the past one week this has become very tiring because I am getting nearly a 100 notifications in my inbox everyday. I have more than a 100 friends and I do not want to put the notifications off for any of them. But no complaints because I am enjoying myself.

I did have the potential, stamina and patience to reply to each and every person who posted a response to my discussions but now after receiving more than a 100 or to be precise after receiving 127 replies to one of my new discussions my inbox seems to be piling up and I am not able to please everyone. But I will not stop trying and reply to all of them sooner or later.

You may have noticed this recently but i knew this from a long time. Responding back to responses is a benefit for both the parties. You get rewarded in monetary terms and the other person gets an incentive to keep responding back to you so that he/she can also earn. But what i like in this, is the communication that carries on and on.. Even i like to respond back to the responses i have received in my discussion. Ofcourse i cannot do that.. responding back to 80 responses in a single day bcoz i dont have that much patience to st over here, but surely at some later time, i will reply back. But i hardly start any discussion..LOL Hey.. I have one query if you would like to answer it over here. Have u received any payments yet? If yes, then how did u recieve it in hand? through card or bank account? and what is the transaction fees involved?

It really feels irritating when you respond to a person's discussion hoping to get a reply back and people after starting discussions completely forget. Mey be ur discussion will help to open up their eyes. Bcoz many a times, i put up a question asking them for their help and i am just left waiting. Anyway, i received my payments last nyt, atotal of 22 dollars at paypal including the previos payment too(this is my second payment the first obne being 0f 10.42$),I have got it on my paypal account and i was just hoping to get it credited to my card or account.. ?? So just wished to know it from you.. do let me how you get ur cash into ur pocket...

I had started this discussion with the sole intention of telling everyone to respond to the replies to their discussion. Anyway I have got my first payment into my paypal account and am now waiting for it to get transferred to my bank account. They have said it takes seven working days so I have to wait.

I had noticed this sometime back and wanted to point it out to the others. Because there are quite a few members who start discussions and then do not respond to even a single one of them. This was my way of telling them to respond perhaps. I am supposed to be receiving my first payment today thru my paypal account. Will check at the end of the day to see if it has come thru and will let you know tomorrow.

I was surprised when I read somewhere that we did not get paid because I have been getting my earnings regularly. And the earnings were increasing more than the number next to my name. Why no reply from you for my other new discussions. I thought you had deleted my name from your list.

yes you are absolutely right.if you tend to respond to others it creates a positive attitude among your friends. being a social community if u respond to person it may induce you to respond to a discussion. at the end of the day, its the way you put forth your idea comes first. tats a big deal i suppose.
