As a chinese people ,i heared a lot of negative news about The
2008 Beijing Olympiad from TV, newspapers, interner websites,......for instance: the riots of Torch Relay in UK and France, some nations'leaders warned not to attend the opening ceremony of 2008 Beijing Olympiad.... and so on. but i think china is a integrity, industrious, hospitable multiculture
and tribe nation. in China, you can see mazing scenery and exotic species.... i wonder how do you think of 2008 Beijing Olympiad, can you tell me something about it?

hi, thanks. From 2003 when China won the bid to host the 2008
Olympiad, the government had invested $43 billion to build transport infrastructure, meliorate ecosystem enviroment....
in order to help the Games live up to its "Green Olympics" billing. Chinese people also took an active role in welcoming
the foreign friends from all over the world. There will be 100,000 olympic volunteers to serve during the 2008 Beijing Olympics basing on the authority statistics.

Hi there. I'm from China, too. I don't think our nation's gonna make the Olympics political but I'm concerning about too much expectation for Chinsese athelets. Some goals set by the Sports Department are somewhat unrealistic. And too much expectation begets too much pressure. They want the men's soccer team to win a medal but don't you think it's a kind of chimerical? We don't have the talent here. That's the point. And I'd like to mention the 110-meter-hurdle star Liu Xiang. He won the gold medal in 2004 Olympic games and everyone in the country is expecting him to retain the gold medal. And because it is in our own country, so it can be more meaningful. Now he is not the world record holder anymore and he is facing great challenge from Robles. I think the sports fans and the media should not give him too much pressure. We don't have to win the most medals to show how strong we are. What is more important is we organize the great event smoothly.

thank you for your response. iam glad to meet you here! i have the same opinions on this issue:the sports authority applied some unreasonable expection on the comingup 2008 Beijing Olympiad, and it will bring the athelets more pressure as a result it will have a bad influence on thier performance. Referring to the nation men's soccer olympic team, although i am a football fan ,i have lost my patience on this team and i opine the goal to win a medal is an untouchable target for them. Finally same as you, we all anticipate the 2008 BeiJing Olympiad can be a more successful gala than before.

I'm going to be honest, and I'm going to say that this is not the best for anyone. China is a communist country, and a majority of other countries out there are democratic. That's why people are losing their lives due to riots.

thanks a lot! but i don't agree with you! As you say, China has a different political structure, but it isn't the excuse by which so called democratic nations denigrated the kind country and enticed some secessionist organizations to disturb pulic security. Is that your point?
