I was surprised to see that my last post was my 1000th. Well, I've been here for over a year so it's not something that I was really aiming for. There were months when I stopped posting after I had an unpleasant exchange of ideas in a discussion about religion. But I came back and have met some very nice people around here. I just stay away from controversial topics now. Are there any privileges that come with the 1000th post?

Welcome back and I am glad you are not at 1001 posts. I did miss you. How have you been? I have been fine. It is so hot here in CA I am sitting here under the ceiling fan thinking about turning the air conditioner on and it is only 10:30am. It already 93 outside and our high today is for casted to be 108. They did say it was going to be 111 and knocked a few degrees off of it.
How is the weather where you are?

Yes it has been cooler today. It is only 94 today. Cooler than before. I can tolerate it. I sure can sleep better at night.

Thanks! That is hot. The highest temperature we've had was 96 degrees and that was before summer was officially here. I can't complain because the weather has been very mild. It's been in the 70s most of the time. I hope you cool off a bit over there.

Congratulations on your 1000th. If that took you a year I'm wondering how long til I reach my 1000th. I've only just rached my 100th and I've been here 2 months. Maybe this should be my wake up call that I should step it up. =) Have a nice day! ~

Hi! Thanks. It really depends on what your reason is for hanging out in here. We all have our reasons and I 'd like to think that all of them are valid. I have several other sites open while posting here. So, you have to figure what yours is, set a goal and work at it. Good luck!

Congrats my friend. 1000 of anything is a nice accomplishment. I'm with you though about posting controversial discussions although I have responded to others once in a while. But for the most part I do stay away. I think you can now cut and paste stuff into your posts (you might have already had that ability) and I'm sure there's other privileges. I should find out because I'm over 1000 also. Anyway congrats again.

Thanks, dear. I've learned my lesson and don't even read those touchy subjects anymore. I just stick to more neutral discussions.
Regarding copying and pasting, that comes with the 500th post. I rarely, if ever, use that feature. There are really very few reasons to do so.

When I had 575 next to my avatar, I wasn't even thinking of making my 100oth post. I just skim through the discussions and look for something that interests me. Then, today I reached this milestone. As an old saying goes, time flies when you're having fun. You'll make it, too.

Wow! Congratulations! So it means a larger earnings? 
I wish I could do that in a month but I think that is impossible since I am busy with my studies. But I am glad I managed to come this far even I was only a member for three weeks. I don't know what are the privileges of having 1000 posts but you still enjoy the privilege of having 200 and 500 posts. You know what I mean, don't you?

Oh yes, it would be great it you can post 1000 times a month. I've been here over a year, because I just post whenever I remember doing so. I don't know if anyone has been able to make that many discussions and comments in such a short time. And also yes, I still enjoy the privileges that came with having 200 and 500 posts. Thanks for your reply.

I have not heard of any privileges that come with 1000 post, but I am also excited as you can see I am very close to hitting 1000 myself. I think it is a major mileston adding a number if you ask me. Good Luck hope everything goes well from here on out.

Hi! That is so sweet. Thanks for the encouragement. I agree, there is a lot of kind people here. It is an open forum, so I would think that people would expect to read opinions that do not agree with theirs and not take it personally. I mean, if you don't want to be contradicted, at least say so or don't post at all.
Just keep on posting, and you'll be at the 500 mark before you know it. See you around!
