Why do you like Nikon Cameras?

This is for those who are Certified Nikonians, the question is What makes you love your Nikon Camera? I'll start off. First of all it's the Design, I like it because My hand is comfortable holding the Camera. Second is the quality of the lenses that they have, with Nikkor you can't go wrong. Lastly is the Red Thing! it makes the camera so Sexy!
So, fellow Nikonians out there, what can you say?

I am also now officially a Nnikon fan!
Like you mentioned, the grip is comfortable for my big hands. The menu is easy to navigate. The price is also good for the range of lenses available for the kit.
So, with that, I got me my first DSLR from Nikon.
What red thing are you refering to?
Which camera are you talking about?

I have been a Nikonian fan since October last year.
Was practicing my shots with the Auto mode. Slowly migrated to the A and S mode.
Shot a lot of pics using the P mode during my honey moon.
Still consolidating and sorting my pictures.

Good luck in the path of photography! Be a great photographer! That's my problem , I don't have enough free space for all my pictures. one trip will amount to a gigabyte and what more will a dozen trips cost, I don't have enough space here in my computer, but that's the fun part! Taking lot of pictures.

I have never used a Nikon before. When I was using film, I had a Manolta and now that I've switched to digital, I have been using Canon. In the fall I'm joining a photography group at my university where they will be providing us with Nikons to use, I'm pretty excited to get to try it!

Hi, in my experience I was at the exact opposite of what will happen to you. I am a Nikon user and I got to hold a Canon camera, it was entirely alien territory for me, I had to adjust. But Canon is good to! But I love Nikon better! We even had a Nikon SLR way way back, the problem is I don't know what model it was but it had the Dial for automatic functions. See you around!

Hey, I love the D40 too! even though it was an early model of the Nikon DSLR series, I can last you until you would want to upgrade! Nikon really makes long lasting model that doesn't need to be replaced every now and then, I guess it shows the mastery of every model they release, since they don't have to release models every now and then. But hey once you get into photography you'll start wanting more, I guess that's the only reason you'll buy another camera when you have a Nikon Camera!

Actually, the reason I first bought a Nikon DSLR camera was because I had a lens! Since I already had a lens that fit a Nikon mount camera, I figured I should get a camera that the lens would work on! So I bought a Nikon D70.
I am so happy I went with Nikon! Especially since just recently I've started getting into infarared photography, and Nikon cameras are the absolute best cameras for infrared photography!
I've been so pleased with my Nikon DSLR, that I've bought a Nikon D300!

Yeah, you know one more think that makes Nikon stand out is the Legendary F mount which makes all Nikon cameras compatible with ALL Nikon lens. I'm glad you enjoyed Nikon, as do I even though I sort of envy you since you have a D300. What are the lens that you have right now? THanks for replying fellow Nikonian!

Bought my nikon D40x last January. Why I like nikon cameras? Well, when I was starting in Photography, that was what my colleague had, so I could borrow their lenses when I didn't have what I wanted. I stayed with Nikon because of professional support. Virtually any city you're in, you can buy Nikon equipment. While Canon has leveled the field in this area, it hasn't always been so.
Nikon has never let me down, so why change a good thing?
