Are you as upset at the gas prices as I am? Well this is something that all should see. It is from ABC News and I just seen it and had to warn EVERYONE as this is something I have not seen before. The link for this is: http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/popup/?cl=8732718
For those of you that do not like to click link or that cannot get this to play I will tell you what it is about. Apparently when you swipe your credit/debit card at the gas pump it actually raises the price of your gas. What the hell kind of crap is that?!? These gas station owners are doing this to encourage people to come inside to pay that way they buy other items in their story. I have never heard nor seen such a thing in my life but when I was on Yahoo I seen the link for the story so I had to share it.
So tell mee... WHAT DO YOU THINK?!?

That is crazy to charge more for gas just because you use your debit card or credit card. I will go in and pay from now on.

That is what Mrs.MEE just said as well. I use to pay by card all of the time but no more as that is some real crap. I guess with some stations it took a court injunction for them to actually let people know about the bait and switch.

I do not know how many people really look at teir card when putting it in the machine. I would have never thought to look. As many others do not either.

I had never thought to look either until now. That is wrong! I guess even reputable establishments need to be watched. What next?
If they are going to apply a "Convience" fee then they need to let people know about the fee rather than just stick it to them unknown.

That's crazy! I know gas station owners don't necessarily make the most of money, but still, that's just crazy! They shouldn't do that. I don't think a lot of people would be willing to go inside to pay for gas anyways. And even if they do, I doubt many of them would buy anything from inside the gas station.

That is very odd, I have never hear this, but it makes perfect sense. If they wnated you to come into the store and buy some gum or candy though, why don't you think that they would post the small fee added ontl your credit card? I have never heard of anything like this, but that is certainly very outrageous! Why do they want to drive their customers away, I wonder.

I guess that would fall under the catagory of "The Rich get richer and the poor get poorer". they are trying to offset their income by raising the price of gas for those that do not buy other things. It is wrong and they had to be taken to court to correct it. It is crazy that they would do such dispicable acts. If I were to find out a local establishment was doing that I would NEVER go to that dispicable establishment again as that is just wrong!! If they have it posted that is one thing but alot of these places did not even have the difference posted.
