Failed windows in a new home

My wife and I built a new home four years ago. One year after moving in, the windows began to fail. Since then 18 windows have failed. It appears the seels are have failed. Our building contract only provided a one year warenty. Neither the builder or manufactuer will take responsibility for situation. Does the Federal lemon law extend to products used when builing a home or does it simply apply to the purchase of a car? Thanks
