My husband and I are trying to conceive. I'm just past ovulation and am now waiting to see what happens. (this is our 4th month of trying) but I have a yeast infection. Do you think that will eliminate my chances of fertilization or implantation? Just curious. I know, if I think there is a real problem, I will go see a doc, just curious if yeast infections affect the ability to conceive

The yeast infection indicates usually a change in pH in your uterus, so I would think it could affect your chances of getting pregnant.
It took me over a year to get pregnant...so just keep on trying.

Thanks for responding. I posted this question on a different forum and got blasted by people assuming I was stupid or something. And all I thought was, "hmmm... compromised immune system, medication in my blood stream? why is it stupid to worry about that?"
SO, thank you, for a response that was pleasant, honest, insightful and respectful!

Hi,
Just curious if you ended up conceiving or not? I'm going down the same road as you and finding it really tough. Month after month of Negative HPT's. It's all really stressful. I envy those women that fall pregnant so easily.
Did you get your yeast infection sorted out? I get them from time to time but I find if I take a good probiotic before bed it usually clears it up straight away.

YUp, I sure did. My little girl is just over 2 months old now. Turns out, the change in my pH that triggered the yeast infection was the fact that I was pregnant! So that was an early sign of my body changing to prep for the baby. Crazy!
