Most discussions along the lines of getting paid from here and also those that talk about getting to a certain amount of points usually get deleted causing the poster amd respondees to lose earnings and points. Just wanted to let you all know this. I do not answer those discussions because they can and usually do get deleted. Thanks. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hello, thanks for the information. Unfortunately i've posted these kind of discussion, i'm just sometimes curious. But i guess i'm very lucky, i haven't got my discussions deleted by mylot. I think sharing can be about any topic, why can't they tolerate talking about the earnings? Good luck

You are completely right. On the other hand, if it is enmeshed in an actual discussion it will not be as likely to be deleted. If it is indeed phrased in such terms as not to be a celebration of a milestone, and has something to discuss. Like, "I have been here six months and finally have made 500 posts, how long did it take you?" "Do you have any tips for me?" Those discussions could stay, perhaps.

Hmmmmmm, god, i can't remember how many "m". Thanks, it sounds reasonable and i've learned from what you said. Well, if i reach the first payout, or if it's my birthday, i'd like to celebrate too, it's just human nature. The problem is that just as you said if everybody posts one, it will be everywhere.

Good morning, dear Grandpa Bob. I think that this discussion of yours is not only helpful to the newer mylotters, but also helpful to me, a senior mylotter here. I thank you very much for the discussion that helps. Take care.

I wish the new members would remember they have to post more than a one line response to get paid. I feel bad for some of them because they are nice members, but they only answer in one line responses. I'm wondering if they realize they won't get anything for that.

I will PM my friends that are new members when they do one liners letting them know they may all get deleted. Some listen and others don't. The ones that don't usually get deleted from my list or from myLot as well. A shame some won't listen as they feel they'll get rich quick like that. HAH! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Yes we all lose points if we start or respond to them if they get deleted. it only hurts the members who are involved in them. I have lost points years ago due to this and wanted to help others. You're very welcomed also. Have a great day/evening. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I am right here with you on this one GB. I start discussions like this from time to time, and then we still always have new friends who just have not learned yet.Notice I did respond to you, though.

Well said Grandpa Bob! I also do not answer too many of these. Some do have some merit and are worthy of staying but most, like you said, will get deleted.

Hi my friend, Thank you so much for the information and giving us the heads up on how this works. I find MyLot to be a great place for socializing and to tell you the truth, I get tired of seeing all the discussion on how much you make, and how many points you get etc. Have a great day! Char :-)

You're welcome. If a member reports it then it more than likely will get deleted. This happens a lot around payout. Then we get all the discussions to follow this about why they lost points. Just wanted to give a heads up to those whom did not know this. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Me too, I dind't know they deleted discussions that have to do with payouts and such. Is it in the rules of mylot? I'll have to check real quick. And thanks for the information. I'll be sure to pass it on. Happy Mylotting.

They disallow celebratory discussions. Even birthday wishes have been deleted in the past. I avoid all discussions along the lines of celebrations and or milestones. Just want to be safe and let others know here as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I wonder why do they ban such kind of discussion. Well, thats not discussion at all but sort of cheap publicity. I will read the discussion but do not response to it. I don't want to be a victim of someone else glory.

But I have sometimes noticed that some of these discussions are a few weeks or months old and are still continuing.

hi Grandpa bob you would think that after being told a few zillion times people would heed and turn to other topics for discussions. I have lost points just because I tried to tell the poster that mylot deleted those kinds of discussions. so I now leave them strictly alone.
