Do you think that the number of responses depends on the time you start the disc

I have found that i get maximum number of responses to my discussions when i start them around eight pm IST.I think it is because most mylotters are active at that time and they prefer to respond to newly started discussions or it is because they show up on the first page of intrests.
I hardly get any responses on discussions started in morning or afternoon.
What is your expirience?

I think there's something to that, though probably not as much as other question and answer sites. There's a lot of traffic on here 24/7, as there seem to be quite a lot of Indonesian/Asian users taking up the slack in the quieter times for GMT/EST.
What's IST, incidentally? And where is it in terms of GMT/UTC?

I've noticed that too.
I started a new discussion
just after midnight, EST US,
based time.
And it barely got two pages
of responses within the first
day.
Usually, I have pages and pages
of responses by then to deal with.
But, it could just be a slow day
or maybe lots of people are on
holiday or at work.
I'm not worried too much.

I personally select the discussions I respond to by topic and not by the time of day it is written. I do think it is possible to get more responses at certain times of the day because people are online more in the evenings. I also respond to discussions started by my friends more often than others. I look for discussions that are intelligent or humorous.

I always log on to mylot in the morning at around 11 am IST and its afternoon by the time I start new discussions. Am too busy at 8 pm to check the net. But that has not made much of a difference to the number of responses that I have received.
