I'm 17 years old and I'm worried about my health. There are so many things going around these days. I've been scared of gynecologists for the longest and I think its about time that I get over my fears. Now I think that I'm ready to go, but the problem is is that I don't want to take either of my parents and I don't have insurance. What should I do?

first, let's resolve the issue of why aren't you not going to bring your parents or perhaps your mother with you? it would be best to talk it out with your mom coz she could guide you in some way or bring you to her OB-GYN that i believe she trusted. you are in you puberty age and you are right that there are many things going around specially certain conditions that needs to be detected at an early stage for it to have a good prognosis and recovery if ever there is. going to a doctor is the best choice, bringing your mother with you is even way better at least you are in a comfort zone of a family. and it perhaps give you more time together with your mom and create more bonding.
