Numbers under names of the interests

I have a question and like to know from you if anyone have the answer, it is:
What is the numbers under the names of my intersts mean, is it the number of the discussions start under this interest, or it is a number of rates, or what? pleas if anyone know the answer tell me pleas and let the rest of my dear mylotters know too. Thankx in advance.

Good morning, dear friend. The number under the names of your interests means the number of mylotters who show interest in the same topic, I think, based on my own experience here at mylot. Good day, friend.

Yes, that's precisely what those numbers are. They are to let people know how many discussions have been started under that interest, and therefore how popular those interests are. I personally don't care how popular they are. If I am interested I'm interested, if not, then I'm not.
