I love Dolce & Gabbana, and I'll save up as long as it takes to make sure I'm not buying "knock-off"s.

Well here's one person just plain not impressed with labels, first of all since I'm on a tight, fixed income and I've never been clothes crazy to begin with. Whatever clothes I do buy I buy clothes that will wear well and last for a long time and aren't fads that will die out in a few months. Since I know a lot about the fashion industry, I'll let you in on a "secret"...Many major fashion houses that manufacture the clothes do two sets of the same exact clothing...one with a designer label attached...like Versace, the other a more generic label that might be sold in a store like Target...it's the same exact thing...just different labels attached...so the kicker is, the one with the Versace label will rake in several hundreds if not a grand for the clothing item..while the other with the generic label costs practically nothing in comparison. People are just too label nuts!

I gave the name of Versace as an example...but this really is a common practice in the fashion industry..I know this as my mother used to work in the garment district of Manhattan where a lot of the leading designer houses were...members who worked under Calvin Klein himself for instance were clients of where my mother worked and they told her this fact...Also,...this type of practice to do duo goods and slapping the higher priced label for one and the cheaper for a generic brand isn't limited to fashion, but everything..even electronics like Sony
Also did you know that many designer clothes, even Prada make there clothes in sweatshops? I did a discussion all about this fact and provided links to articles that state this fact--in fact I do happen to have a pair of Calvin Klein jeans that I got at a bargain...they are made in Mexico

I don't really pay attention to labels. I can honestly say that I don't care where my clothes come from as long as I have something to wear. It's not important to me at all. I have clothes from the Gap, Old Navy, Target, K Mart, Wal Mart, and American Eagle. I just like wearing whatever is comfortable.

Do you not care about looking good? sure you can feel comfortable but you could look very unfashionable at the same time.
So you don't buy any real labels at all?
