Gas stations are tricking people in thinking that they are paying less for gas.As most people pay with credit car as its convenient and you don't have to go inside the store to pay. The gas stations are bumping the price up 2% if not more for the gas. So they make people think they are paying one price but in the end they are paying much more. They are not telling them that if they pay by credit card that the price will go up, sneaky isn't it??

There was someone a while back that started a discussion on something similar to this that you are speaking about. I know that is not fair for those that use their card to pay for their gas. I know there could be plenty of people that don't even know that this is going on. I have to admit that when I have gone to get gas from most stations. I didn't go inside to pay for it. I did just use my card at the pump and that was the end of it. Now this is when you should just have gas money in cash. So you know that you are really paying the right price for what you pump into your tank.

Hmmm...I dunno - you'd think if that was the case there would be "cash only" stations around that charged less. Then again, maybe there ARE - just not here.
I know of some stations that knock 3 cents off per gallon if you use a giftcard from the store (like Ingles and Wal-Mart).

It is very sneaky and underhanded. I think it should be posted that if you pay by credit card a 2% charge will be added. Some places do let you know this before hand but not very many of them do. I pay cash for everything, can't afford the gas but sure can't afford the interest on top of it.
