what did you spent your first salary for?

Haaa, me? Hm, I spent it on FOODS! Haha, do you believe that? Well, haha, i always spent more money on food. Yumyum Gemok aku!

I used to spend almost all the money I made on clothes but now I try really hard to save as much as possible. I'm saving for a house in the future.

adindaanne, I remember well! I was a starving art student and I spent my first real money earned for food and rent. Aaah! What a relief that was....

Sadly, even as of today I haven't had very long-term jobs. Of the money i've earned from my "misc" jobs, i've basically been saving. I need to save up so that I can have more then enough to move out with from my rents house. I need at least 5-6grand, + some roomies to live with, and a decent car then i'm all set. I would say i'm a little over 2/5th's of the way there when everyone that's borrowed money from me, pays me back! haha. If not, it might be quiite a while.

My first salary, way back in 1969 at my first job, was the princely sum of £7.00. That amount of money would buy very little nowadays, but back then I was able to buy (and did!) a pair of shoes, two pairs of tights, a skirt and a handbag. Out of what was left, I bought lunches in the works canteen each day for a week.

I spend my first salary on buying gifts for my parents and siblings, and treat them for a nice dinner. I enjoyed very much spending this way. Even though my parents told me not to buy any thing for them, I have to consider, they are the ones who brought me up and gave be better education to get me where I am today...so, they deserve a little gift.

if I remember correctly, I spent my first salary on a white gold chain and pendant. Cost more than I expected! But I've been wearing it since then until now, which has been almost 5 years already :)

I spent it on clothes too- Office clothes that is. I also used it to buy a new deck of cards and some magic props. I used it too to pay for our telephone bill to that's why I really never got to save much from my first salary.
