It is a shame there are so many people still stereotyping pitbulls as mean. They are such sweet creatures! The fault of those incidents where they have bitten is where the only one to blame is the owner. I would ban humans from treating them in such ugly ways. Now, in some towns Pitbulls are being taken away from their owners. I would not be able to stand such a thing. I hope more and more people realize that pitbuls are just as any normal dog, I have seen many of them as service dogs going to hospitals every day. What can be done to educate those that are still ignorant about this beautiful breed?

Just recently a five year old
girl was killed by a family Pitbull.
Certainly, that's a heart breaking
situation.
Maybe not typical.
But for a person who has children,
Pitbulls might not be the best choice.
I mean, just in case.
One has to be more protective
of the child than the animal.

To be honest with you, they say that the dogs behaviour depends on the owner. It is proven that dogs will actually learn from our human behaviour to react to things. So more or less if the owner is always violent towards something(not his own dog) or someone else the dog might imitate. My dog became a couch potato after observing me. It took hell of alot of time to get him to be active dog. But when it comes to down to certain breeds, they are much more temperamental compared to others. It is in thier blood. I just hope as the pitbulls have more downlines, they will be less temperamental, like the dobermans .
