How much did you gain during pregnancy?

I gained an average 35 lbs (but I gained 28 of them all in the third trimester after losing 8 in the first). I know people who gained over 100 and people who LOST up to 15. How about you? Did you have trouble losing it after? I lost 20 in the first 3 days lol.

I gained about 15 lbs and lost it all within the week after delivering. I had bought quite a few maternity outfits and didn't get to wear most of them. I also bought coco butter cream for stretch marks and never used it. I anticipated gaining most of my weight during the last two months. I WANTED a belly!

I loved my belly! Well it was so small until about 28 weeks when I popped out. Guess what? I didn't get stretch marks either... all my friends and relatives are jealous! I was so weird, standing in front of the big mirror in my bathroom with a hand mirror, holding it under my belly and under my boobs trying to make sure I didn't have any marks lol.

I've had 3 children. In all my pregnancies, I would usually weigh between 120-130 lbs. Not pregnant, I would be at the heaviest, 100lbs. I easily lost all the excess weight after giving birth, though. In fact, at this point, I'm actually wishing I could gain more weight as I only weigh 90lbs. I feel so skinny!

I only weigh a little more than you do lol. Trying to put on a little muscle but I don't seem to be gaining or losing. I'm definitely much stronger than I used to be - good thing since my daughter is getting heavier.

I gained around 30lbs for both my pregnancies. For my first pregnancy, I can't remember how long it took me to lose the pregnancy weight. But with my second, I lost the 30 lbs in 2 weeks! I was just so happy. Though, I still have a lot to lose since I am on the heavy side even before I got pregnant. Haha!

I am honestly not sure what's better. I am very petite and always have been, so when my doctor told me I should gain 40 lbs I was freaked out. I thought maybe I might gain 20 if I stopped puking long enough to get any nutrition. Anyway, even though I managed to gain a healthy amount, at the end of my pregnancy when I was due, I had some problems that I was sure happened due to the extra weight. My joints hurt, my back was sore, my hips were sore, and this was all the time. After I had the baby, I was literally 20 lbs lighter and I didn't hurt like that again. I am wondering if I had been more of a normal weight if maybe I wouldn't have been that sore.

I gained 5 pounds total with my first pregnancy and I lost 5 pounds with my second. I was sick my whole pregnancy though both times.

I was really really sick all of my first trimester and most of my second. I think this was due to my body still having normal reactions, ie I was still hungry regularly, more like STARVING all the time, but nothing would stay down. Some moms who are constantly nauseated are just not hungry, so they don't end up throwing up 20 times a day because they don't eat. Well, I ate every chance I could which meant I threw up 20 times a day lol. I was worried something would happen to the baby if I didn't at least TRY to eat and stay hydrated. I was also considered underweight when I found out I was pregnant and then I lost 8 lbs so that didn't help me any.

I gained 40 pounds my first pregnancy and probably lost about half of it but I didnt lose all of that extra weight ironically until getting pregnant with my second daughter. It struck me the second time around that I didnt want to get stuck with that poochy stomach and that I desperately didnt want to be the stereotype mom that lets herself go so I kept going and going as much as possible. That was when I didnt have a car and I remember going places with this big belly and also lugging around diaper bags while carrying my oldest daughter who was still a baby, phew. So by the time I had her I lost all that weight and then ended up gaining 50 pounds after that, I went through the awful baby blues twice but the second time was soooo rough that I just lost interest in my clothes, felt confined to the house and lost interest in the active things i love to do--thankfully im finally at a place where I can appreciate doing them but with my kids too! :)

I remember it well, as it was my first and only pregnancy, I gained almost 60 pounds.. I really made a good pregnant person.. I also lost all of it within a couple of months after having my baby.. I lost it due to the fact that I had complications and had to stay in the hospital for almost 2 weeks after having my son, then it was another 2 months before I was back to normal, by then I had lost the 60 and a bit more.. I got down to just a bit over 100 lbs for awhile until I got to doing better and then I finally got back to my normal weight..

I lost most of it in the first 3 days after the baby, and then the rest of it over several months. I must say though that even though I lost most of the WEIGHT, that doesn't mean that I got back in shape until I made an effort LOL! Anybody who says you stay in shape just chasing after kids is wrong.

I was 110 when I got pregnant with my first by the end I was 130. I didnt lose afterwards. With my second the doctor found out I had gestational diabeties after I gained 20 pounds. So when my baby was born I was 150. I have been 150 for the last 14 years. No matter what I do I cant lose. I can gain easily but I try to keep it down. So Id say I had trouble losing it.

Hi mommyboo. I don't remember exactly how much I gained. My last pregnancy was 6 years ago. But I remember that I really gained a lot. After I gave birth, I had a hard time of losing weight. I delivered my baby via C-section and it isn't adviseable to do some exercises. But I kept watch on my diet. Keep posting. HUGZ!

I have had two children. The first I gained about 19 pounds and lost 21. The second one I didn't gain any weight and lost 17 pounds. My metabolism got a big boost during pregnancy. However, I gained a lot of weight after each of them was born and was never able to lose it. I wish I could have kept that good metabolism I had when I was pregnant.

I am 34 weeks and gained 35lbs so far, but my 1st trimester I lost 15-20lbs due to severe morning sickness.
