Hello Attitudecounts,
By, the way, I love your User ID. Attitude IS pretty much everything!
If college is the best part of someone's life, then they're either very young, or there's something seriously wrong! If we employ the wisdom of your User ID, then life should keep getting better. I'm 44, and I can say with complete honesty that life is so much better now than it was 5 years ago. And, five years ago, it was so much better than it was five years before that.
Will the same be true when I'm 75 or 80? I cannot say. Though, I'm neither afraid to find out, nor cynical about the possible outcome. It really is all about the journey. And, if we respect the journey, and all of it's possibilities, then we recognize that even the obstacles serve a purpose.
As to the excitement of college: well, there certainly is alot of that. Though, I think that what's most valuable about college is/are:, the friends we make, and the opportunity to dive into the intellectual pursuits of our choosing. That really is terrific. Though, it's just a chapter in the book of one's life. There are many, many, more to come!

They say that college life is the best part maybe because literally we were independent in terms of everything except (more or less) money. Others say it was high school life. I think it depends on the person, on how he spend his colege years...
