How do you feel when your responses are commented by others?

When I start a discussion I keep checking to see how many replies I have got. And I make sure I acknowledge each and every response. When I reply to discussions started by others I feel disappointed when they dont reply back.

More often than not I get annoyed when people respond to my comments, because some respond with someone that is in no way related to what I said, which means either 1) they didn't read what I posted properly 2) they accidentally posted there. Then there is the other people that reply with something pointless like "thanks for replying", other than that I am quite happy with people replying to my responses as long as it is something related and useful.

I start a discussion to express what I feel about a particular subject or if there is something that I would like to know. If there are no responses, Its ok, I just go on. When people respond it does give you a good feel that somebody is thinking on the same lines that you are. It feels that much better when the person who responds motivates you more. The same thing goes for the comments.

Everytime I get response from the discussion that I've started, it made me feel that i am really contributing coz there are people who can appreciate my ideas and interests. on the other hand, if i didn't get any response or comment, at all, it's a bit frustrating coz it seemed that your topic is nonsense...but then again, i don't really give a damn if didn't get any comment or response coz we do have different ideas and point of views. let's just say the topic/s i posted isn't/aren't just appealing to everyone.

I like discussions to be educative, funny, or out right entertaining. There is on anger when my discussions are not commented on or contributed to. Life must go on. My lot pals will not fail to respond to a good discussion.

It makes me feel valued which is a little bit weird as I don't actually know any of you in reality. Although it feels like I do because I spend so much time here. I like helping people and getting good advice when I have my own problems. People on myLot have really helped me with many issues and started some good political debates that I've shared with my friends in real life. I hope to be around here for many more years and keep getting those comments.

It's great when I get responses but if I don't I understand. It's nice if the responses keep coming and we have a real back and forth discussion, though. That makes it like a real conversation. Of course, that's as long as it's kept friendly. Annie

good day...It depends on the comment. I don't literally ask for approval but if the one responded to my comment approved of it good if not, then I would ask for discreet and courtesy because that is also what I would have done for them. This way we could have a good and informative sharing of views.

Well, I feel good when somebody commented on my response that means they are checking their postings and they are not merely for earnings. lol. I mean they are also glad that we responded to them. Sometimes I am disappointed when I see repsonses without any comments. But anyway, I understand that maybe they are too busy to make a comment.

i feel great when i get some really good responses for my discussions...

i think everyone wants a response otherwise they would not post. or they could put their message in a bottle but then they'd hope someone would find the bottle and respond. cause it'd be interesting to see where the bottle traveled and was found. and what life it touched when the two parties had never met before.

I like when people respond to my discussions because they usually relate to my interests.

well, I am a newbie here, and just getting started. But it must feel great to get responces on your discussions. but I won't pull anybody's arm or beg. ha!ha! have a good one.

I am very happy if I see my discussions to be responded to, which shows that it can interest mylotters and also it is considered to be a success if it can attract as many responses as it can, however old or new the discussion is. Sure! When my friends drop by my discussions and chat with me, it makes me feel better. As if they appreciate what I have to say. And in return, I drop by their discussions, too. It's a give and take thing. Really the best way to get more worthwhile friends on MyLot is to visit friend discussions when they have visited yours! Give and take!

I feel really happy when I get comments, it means that the person actually cares that I reponded :D

venkygec in the best of all possible worlds we would all always make comments to all responses, and all responses to all discussions and on and on, but in the real world where we have other things to do besides mylot we do' not always get done what you all think we should so cut us a little slack as we all do the best we can I think.

I tend to use this as a way to vent or just to let my thoughts out... It would be nice to see what others think about the comments I leave here or discussions I start but I really don't get discouraged if I don't see any... Not much but few times I did have a "conversation" by having comments going back & forth about few things... That was nice... I try to be responsive to all the ones I get but sometimes I do lose track of them... I guess this is good time as any to say, I'm sorry for anyone I forgot to respond to their comments if it made you feel bad...

Well'i'm new here in mylot.Good thing that i've started a discusion.First i was a bit scared,what if anyone don't care or bother to participate in my discussion?I felt relieved and overwhelmed about the responses i'd got.I felt like i really belong here,even if i am a new member here.I appreciate all that responded my discussions.And don't want to make them feel that after they've responded to you you will notcare to comment on their response.Commenting on someones response i a reward for them.
