I am not surprised by that because here in my home country there are forced marriages between girls as young as 13 or 15 to old men above 70 years or even 90. there are also small girls who alope to old men willingly. That is just wrong that someone who is sixty four wants to marry a girl who is twenty and young enough to be his granddaughter,I do not know what she is thinking especially since he is in jail,love can definitely be blind along with dumb and it sounds like the girl has no sense,and it sounds like the guy should not be released from jail but instead should be in there for life.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Not just the age difference but the fact that this guy is a convicted killer. Who in their right mind would marry not just a killer that is 44 years older; but a man that they can never, ever have a normal relationship with?? This woman's family need to whisk her off somewhere far away and slap some sense into her! lol.

She is after his money and the notoriety. The second, she is also falling under the trap that she wants to reform him. That girl has the sense of a pea. The third is that he is holding something over her. The fourth is he being a sociopath obviously is putting himself out as God's answer to womankind(or should I mean the devil.) The fifth, and most dangerous is that is also in the third, that a wife cannot testify against her husband. I do not know that this is true, but I rather suspect that it is.

Well, all along in the history of mankind, Love creates surprises and shocks. When it comes to destiny and fate, we can't stop anyone from falling in love with anybody. Perhaps this 20 year old girl had not grown to be mature in thinking such that she could make a realistic decision. There could also be that Charles Sobhraj actually could provide for her in terms of happiness and needs.

This is obscene. What on earth can such an older man and this young girl have in common. Is she being forced against her will? Is he rich? Is he seen as a passport for the girl to a better life? A 20 year old has all her life ahead of her. She needs to experience that life with her own peers to gain the maturity required to make the right decisions for herself. How can they be regarded as a genuine couple when the age gap is so huge? She is at a different emotional stage of her life to his. They can never see eye to eye. He will be like a father rather than a husband. If that is what she desires emotionally, then perhaps they will be successful with their relationship. But, if she is 'madly in love', as she says, sees him as a potential husband and there is no coercion, I give it 6 months to a year for her to come down to earth with a massive thump! Very sad.

This sounds like a case of what they call blind love. But it happens and some people find attraction and fall in love with people that are younger or older. I would not immediately get married if I were either of them since they haven't spent alot of time together outside of his prison. They only know each other in conversation. How long has this guy been in jail? And I just don't know that I could fall in love with an older man that was found guilty of killing a person. But I guess you never know where love will find you.

yeah it is happening in my own country, that is NEPAL. Last time in our local media she became public in the media. She was then interviewed, she was so much excited with that relation. I don't know why, what kind of relation it is, but it is obviously strange. Not only her but also her mother accepts this relationship after interacting with her fiancee. The girl's name is NIHITA BISHWAS who has just finished her high school. College girls marries old and rich man. But charles shovraj? a criminal? hmm love is not only blind, but strange, awful, and nausea too.

If there are no legal impediments to his marrying this girl then I see no reason why he should not marry this girl. It's none of my business and he certainly won't be asking permission from the likes of me. It is not like he is getting rewarded or anything, marrying a 20-yr-old girl. Cheers!!

This poor girl is throwing away her life. Maybe she thinks this man will give her security and a financial future - who knows. It would be like being married to a grandfather - no fun at all. And he's a murderer, too? Whoa - pity this girl's family can't talk some sense into her. It doesn't sound as if it could possibly be a very healthy relationship, no matter what she says!
