What kinds of characteristic things would you like to get when travel in China

There are lots of local-color thing which could show the traditional Chinese culture, if you have the chance to been to China, what kinds of thing do you prefer to get? For example paper-cut could represent the northeast local color and chinaware represent the south china culture. which do you like prefer?
