Hi,friends, today i'm cleaning up my room, and i threw away so many things, some of them are useless, but some can still be used again, for example, the tapes and the recorder,i remember, when i was a high scholl student,i bought them for listening english and misic, most of the tapes are about english lessons and westlife or backstreet boys...i love them, they are lying for years, cause now we have mp3 and computer,it's more convenient, maybe i should put it away as a memory,hehe.... So do you still use tapes or will you throw them away?

Yes, i do still use tape.
But i also have a cellphone that can play music. My tapes and walkman are just my collections.I bought those things when i was in junior middle school. At that time, as i live in the rural area of China, we didn't have enough money for a CD player so most of us chose walkman and tapes.
I still use these tapes and my walkman to give my ear a feast when i am at home. These things can also bring me wonderful pieces of sweet memory.
Wow, thank you so much for bringing me back sweet memory.
Have a nice day!
P.S now i am at home!

My husband has a lot of cassette tapes that he has put up but odds are we will not listen to them again because they are making less and less cassette players to play them on. I doubt that he will get rid of them though cause they have sentimental value to him.

I have an entire selection! I love my tapes and my LPs too. I listen to them occasionally but mainly keep them for the memories they evoke. I am one who clings to good memories (and my tapes). Thanks for taking me to a good place today. (:

I still have tapes lying around the place, but I no longer listen to them anymore. I have found all the songs I love from the past and have them either on CD or on my computer so I have no reason to keep any tapes now.

I don't use tapes anymore. As much as I wanted to, coz I've collected loads of music tapes before when I was in high school, but they were lost when our house burned 6 years ago. So If ever that didn't happen, I wouldn't throw them away. I will make them a part of my collection and all of the tapes that I owned had significance on me and my friends and my love life. I use ipod and my laptop now if I wanted to listen to music. Happy postings. HUGZ!

we still use tape or cassette tapes in our work. even today that there are so many types of recording media, cassette recorders are still in use in court sessions. although there are stenographers during hearings, recorders are of great help especially if there are lawyers who talks too fast...

I haven't used tapes for listening to music in ages, but when I went through a move a few years ago and was weeding through items to keep or get rid of, I came across over 30 or 40 old tapes and I just found it too hard to part with them, so they are sitting in a Jansport School bag in my closet and I haven't thought about throwing them out ever! They just bring back too many memories for me to part with them that easily.

I saved all of my old tapes (from the 80's), even though I bought most of them on CD's.
My van has a tape player in it. There is no CD player in it, and I really didn't plan on the van lasting as long as it has, so I didn't have a CD player put in it.
If I want to listen to music, other than the radio, when I'm driving, I have to copy a CD onto a tape to play in the van.
I found some old blank tapes in the house. I'm not sure if they even make them anymore.

I do have some cassette tapes at home. Although I have not tried playing them for quite sometime now. I also don't own a working cassette player that is why my old tapes are just on the shelves. I would not be surprised if it will not work when I try to use it again. I may soon be disposing it anyway.

Now I think that tapes are no longer needed ,but I still keep some of them ,as a means of remembering those times. For me,now, tapes ar a simbol , not a practical mean anymore

no, now i dont use the old tapes and recorder. now we have new means to listen music, i recently buy a apple ipod, it rocks, now i need not to buy any tapes,i have around 600 songs, all of my choice in my ipod, tapes seems to be useless and wastage of money now..
