Will my puppy forget me?

I had to give away my puppy 3 years ago whem i came abroad. I never came back my country since... I will go for a visit finally this year, i hope... I want to see my puppy. Will he remember me? I had him since he was just a few weeks because somebody just gave him to my hands after i told i couldnt. I kept him for about half year. So, you think he will remember me? I miss him so much!

If you were really close to him during the first 6 months of his/her life then your puppy will remember you. I left my pup for 3 years and when I came back, it seemed as if I never left him at all.

Oh thank you! That give me so much hope! I was really close to him! He was ALWAYS with me! And i knew he was really happy. He cryed a lot when i went to see him 3 months later...

Since you only had him a short time, and it's been 3 years, he probably won't remember you. However, I had a dog when I divorced my ex, and I couldn't take her with me, I ended up moving 1600 miles a year later. I went back after being gone a year and half and not seeing her for that length of time. When she saw me, she ran and grabbed her frisbee and brought it to me, we used to always play frisbee, so I would say she knew who I was lol.

Good she remembered you straight away... so beautifull! I Came back after 3 months actually in the country to solve some problems and i went to see him and he did recognized my voice though he started barking on my steps. in the moment he was free he jumped in my arms so happy, crying...

I think he might, dogs have an amazing sense of smell and that is wjat they go by mainly, and he might remember your voice, i hope he does, he will probably be very happy to see you.

Yes he knew my voice... After i gave him, i still had to go back Portugal, 3 months later and i went to see him... He always barked a lot to everybody and when he listened my steps he barked but when i called him he got quiet and than cryed. when the new owner opened the door he jumped in my arms so happy and crazy! I also cryed...
