It's a staple feature of the curious mind that it MUST maintain a steady diet of new and interesting knowlege... I find that when I have been sucessful at learning a new skill or word or resource, I am apt to feel very happy and satisfied. My ability to dismiss old ideas, and the stress of holding on to them, is enhanced. Here in this category of "Sharing New Ideas and Knowlege ", I will be making my first contribution, I think. This category did not exist when I took my year long break from Mylot and I see a great potential for some embracingly good stuff to enjoy here. Here's my Apsense article, " Bizarre Facts and Learning New Stuff" http://www.apsense.com/article/117452.html

Good for you, Snowy! :) There's one episode of "Millionaire " where the guy knew what the "Oort Cloud " was, and he won! :)

That's the Nature of most Human minds, I believe, but not all Humans use their minds in this way. For an example, check out some of today's politicians closely! LOL! :)

yes I love to learn new things all the time. I believe that it keeps your mind healthy by feeding it different materials. It seems the more I have learned the easier it is for me to learn new things more quickly.
