I was asked recently who has the upper hand in our house. My wife or I. Well of course anyone that knows me will know that women always have the upper hand with me. That doesn't make me a pushover though. Oh well, yes it does. But who wears the trousers in your house. You or your partner?

We both wear trousers. Mr Croc is the boss and has my permission to say so.
I hold the purse strings because he's no good with money. Major decisions we discuss and then he does what I think is right.

I rather think this answers the question about me rather well! LOL So YOU decide who wears the pants in my family!
"She's the kind of girl you bring home to your mother
She looks good in blue jeans even better under covers
She's a devil in bed between the sheets
Ask her if she's a saint and she'll get down on her knees and pray
Yeah yeah yeah"

One leg each...how does that sound?,,but my leg is slightly longer!I know that isnt a terribly good explanation, but its the truth!I lull Mr Ruby into a false sense of security and then I go for the jugular lolol....No..he makes a decision, then I finalise it.

We are on an absolutely equal basis. If we reach an impasse on a decision, neither has priority. We flip a coin.

That works for us. My husband and I can always reach an agreement.

Well, I feel that we both wear the pants so to speak. But He wears them about 55% and Me the other 45% of the time. He has to let me have upper hand sometimes...he would starve if he didn't..lol Nah just kidding..But I do take the upper hand sometimes if I didn't I would feel as though I have no say in my own home or marriage.Gotta put that foot down sometimes..

Nah, he is the type that will say he wears the pants about 75% of the time and me only a punny 25%.

hmmm...lol...neither of us.
We both are having a tug of war with the pants.
We once decided to get one leg for each of us....but we ended up going in different directions.
If someone asks me the question you asked and my husband isn't around, I answer,
'I wear the pants of the house and I have my husband's permission to say so'.
And if he is asked he says,
'I wear the pants of the house and I have my wife's permission to say so'.
Now, who do YOU think should be wearing the pants in my family?

Well, my husband calls me "the boss" so I guess it's me. It is not that he is a pushover but that he likes to make me happy. I don't take advantage of it. I give as much as I take. I like to make him happy too so I am assuming that is why he does it for me.
The real boss in our family is about 2 feet tall with brown ringlets and can get anything she wants by saying, "I bub you!"

Okay, I bow unto that little bundle of joy. I too was guilty about who's the boss when that little bundle of joy smiles.

That would be me. I'm much too feisty to let someone else wear the pants. Most people can't fit into my pants anyway. :)

I just couldn't resist the lure of myLot now I'm back in from the garden and I am definitely wearing the trousers, covered in dirt having moved paving slabs and put turf down LOL. In a relationship I like there to be balance so equal really with both discussing and making decisions. In my most recent relationship though I believe I was the stronger but from an outsiders point of view looking in it may not have looked that way. I don't think it really matters as long as the couple are happy who is the boss, but Bruce Springstein certainly does it well eh! Ellie :D

LOL. It was hard work believe me, I ache in places I didn't even know I could ache in, I had a little helper bless and first thing in the morning have two tip runs to do, he has given up on his small slide and little tricycle bless and a few other bits, I also have my old freezer too that was an eccentric feature in the garden, most people have water fountains, I froze mine instead looked pretty good in amongst the pot plants LOL. I am glad the Boss agrees that you make your decisions jointly! When I start posting again I have a few ticklers! Got to get the garden sorted first though! Ellie :D

I got bored with being bored so started a discussion Ellie. Apart from Nova's birthday, my first this week. Bruce was "Born to Run" I think. Wonder how much use he'd be laying....... turf! Good for you. That's a job I've always thought that I could do, but never tried as I worked out is must be blooming hard work. Most best decisions are jointly agreed I think. That's what the Boss says anyway!!

In my house its me because there is only me. LOL. But in my parents house my dad tries but everyone knows my mom wheres the pants in the family. I am not trying to be mean but when dad tries to he just looks funny. He is a soft hearted push over and my mom is the take charge get things done type.

Better than my dad, he thinks because he works all day he shouldn't have to cook although everyone else in the house works to. Maybe once a week he will cook.

The guys in everything tries to be dominant. Most men earns the most rather than women (I'm thinkin' bout Fortune magazine...lols), but you see a house without a woman is dull. I don't want it to look like a battle of the sexes, but the house is a woman's domain and we work well within it. Thinkin about budget management, kids, house rules and order, food, etc. these are best jobs for women.
So if you're thinkin about the house, women rules! Other domains of course is another story...hahaha!

My fiance definitely wears the "pants" in the relationship. HOWEVER, we don't make any decisions big or small without consulting each other first and coming to a mutual agreement. When it comes to spending money, I pretty much get my way and but I always seeks his advice/guidance. I manage all the money but again, I keep him in the "loop".
He wears the pants and proudly. He's the man in the relationship and he's the man of the house - and that's how it should be...IMO anyways.

I would like to think that I wear the trousers in my house but not too sure. I think we #both wear them though not at the same time.

I bet that bra is going to haunt you for the rest of your mylot life now!!! I think I am abit of a pushover aswell as I let my boyfriend get away with not doing things round the house but that is also a good thing as if I do it, I know its done and to the way I like it!! xx

You would be putty in my hands Fishy, its very rare that the man is the outright boss of the house. He maybe has an input, but all in all we females have our little ways you know.

I think it goes both ways. But I am pretty sure my husband is the one who takes control. When I yell at the kids they stare at me, but when he yells they run like mad!!
